China's Sinopharm's Coronavirus Vaccine to be Tested in Pakistan

Pakistan will be given around 4 crore doses if proven safe and effective.

According to The Wall Street Journal, China's national pharmaceutical group Sinopharm has entered into an agreement with the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences of Karachi University for a trial. According to officials associated with it, Pakistan will be given a vaccine on priority. Pakistan will conduct trials on thousands of people in the last phase trial after the first phase. If the vaccine is safe and effective, Pakistan will be given a vaccine for 20% of the population at the beginning of its production.

Russian vaccine will protect coronavirus for two years, developers claim

According to the Russian news agency Toss, the director of the Gamalaya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of Moscow and Alexander Gintzberg of the Russian Healthcare Ministry said that the duration of the vaccine's effective life would be not one year, but two years. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Health also claimed that the vaccine would remain in effect for two years.

 

This Deal is Important for China

It is believed that where developing countries need vaccine support from big countries, China wants to test its vaccine outside the country. In fact, there has been a drop in coronavirus cases in China, so it is not possible to test it on a large population there. In order for its vaccine to be approved, attention has to be paid to the diversity of the population. A big reason is that China is also looking at a chance to make a global impact by holding a coin on the Corona vaccine.

Pakistan has kept Options Open
