New Delhi, India;

There are two more main entry gates at many major stations of the metro, from where people enter the station premises. Apart from interchange stations like Rajiv Chowk, Kashmiri Gate, Central Secretariat, Hauz Khas, Mayur Vihar Phase-1, Janakpuri West, there are some stations that have more than two routes of entry. But, now the metro will run again, people will have to take care of where to enter from.

Not all Gates of Major Stations will be Opened

According to information received from the sources, when the metro starts again, all the gates of these big stations will not be opened, but only two gates will be opened so that people can move to and from the station. The remaining gates will be kept closed. This will be done so that the station premises can be better monitored and social distancing can be maintained. Apart from this, several steps are being taken to maintain distance in the station premises.

The Platform will be Marked

It is generally seen that in the metro station, there is more crowd of people near the platform stairs or escalators and elevators, while the space on either side of the platform is empty. In such a situation, there should not be a crowd of people at the same place on the platform and according to the position of each coach, a small number of people will stand in front of it, it will be arranged and for this, the platform will be marked.

Appeal to Keep Distance from People

Apart from this, people will be urged to keep distance through frequent announcements inside the trains and also on the station premises. In stations where LED screens are installed, there will be an attempt to make people aware of this through some videos. Customer Facilitation Agents will also be deployed near the AFC Gate and on platforms to regulate the movement of passengers, who will tell people how to proceed by building a distance.

Entry will be Stopped if there is a Crowd

Sources in DMRC have made it clear that if there is a situation of overcrowding at a station, then the entry of people in the station premises can be stopped for some time. Apart from this, trains will not be stopped at metro stations in or around the content zone. Some changes can also be made in the timing of the metro and the service of the metro can be closed early at night.
