Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma at top-2 in ODI rankings, Crowley and Anderson leap in Tests

In ICC's latest ODI rankings, Virat and Rohit retain the first and second positions respectively. Australia's leading batsman Steve Smith leads the Test rankings.

Team India captain Virat Kohli and limited-overs team vice-captain Rohit Sharma retained the top two spots in the batsmen's list in the ICC ODI rankings. In the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council on Wednesday, Virat and Rohit continue in the first and second positions respectively. Australia's top batsman Steve Smith leads the Test rankings. He is followed by Kohli and Smith's compatriot Marnus Labuschen.


India's wicketkeeper-batsman Lokesh Rahul is second in the batsmen's T20 rankings after Pakistan's Babar Azam. Australia's limited-overs captain Aaron Finch is in third place. In the list of ODI bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah of India tops the list, while Australia's fast bowler Pat Cummins leads the Test rankings.


Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan tops the list of T20 bowlers. In the team rankings, India is second in ODI format and third in both Tests and T20s. England's Jack Crawley, who scored 267 in the third and final Test against Pakistan at Southampton, and James Anderson, who took seven wickets in the match, have made a quantum leap in the Test rankings.

Crawley jumped 53 places to reach a career-best 28th in the Test rankings. Crawley started the series in 95th place but with 320 runs he became England's fourth top batsman after just eight Tests, following Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jose Butler.


After being ranked from the top 10 after the series against the West Indies, Anderson has again moved up six places to 8th. He took five or more wickets in the innings for the 29th time during the draw test and also became the first fast bowler to take 600 Test wickets in the second innings by dismissing Azhar Ali.


Butler, who scored 152 in the third Test, has also reached 21st position with a career-best 637 rating points. Ben Stokes, who missed two Tests against Pakistan has slipped to second place in the all-rounders' list. West Indies captain Jason Holder is on top.

Pakistan captain Azhar has moved up 11 places to 23rd position by scoring 141 runs in the first innings while wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has moved up three places to 72nd thanks to a half-century. Pakistan's improvised spinners Fawad Alam and Asad Shafik have joined the top 100 in the list of bowlers. These two rank 94th and 100th respectively.
