New Delhi, India;
The All India Institute of Medical
Sciences (AIIMS) is looking for volunteers for the first phase of human trials
of the corona vaccine. There are some conditions to join this test. If you meet
those conditions then you can be tried with the Corona vaccine according to
your wish. AIIMS had also issued an advertisement for this. About 1000 people
have expressed their desire to participate in this trial.
Dr. Sanjay Rai, Professor, Community
Medicine Department, AIIMS Delhi, said, "We needed 100 volunteers but we
kept getting calls constantly." People were also requesting to be included
in this trial through WhatsApp. Apart from this, we also got hundreds of
emails.
These are the Conditions;
According to Dr. Rajinikanth
Srivastava, spokesperson of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 'Any
healthy Indian adults can apply to participate in a corona vaccine trial with
certain conditions. He/she must be between 18 and 55 years of age to
participate in the test. Apart from this, he should not suffer from any medical
condition like high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. He should be perfectly
healthy. ' In the event of injury or a reaction to the participant
participating in the trial, no money is paid to any participant except
compensation in that situation.
This is How Contestants are Selected;
Dr. Rai of AIIMS said, 'There remains
a system to apply to appear in this test. Out of the applications received, the election is done on the basis of 'first come first serve'. The first 100
applicants who meet the criteria are selected for the test. Typically about
25–30 percent of the applications are set aside as buffers. Once the basic
screening is done, applicants are required to undergo those tests. They are
first screened for Covid-19.

Blood Samples of Participants are Taken
Dr. Rai stated, 'A swab sample is
taken for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RRT-PCR), to find
out if they are infected. We want participants who are neither infected in the
present nor have been infected in the past. In addition, blood samples of
participants are also taken for antibodies and other health data.
These Companies are making Vaccines in India
Let us tell you that three vaccines of Covid-19 are being developed in India. On the occasion of Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi had told the ramparts of the Red Fort that the road map for distribution of the vaccine is ready for every Indian, with plans for mass production. The Central Drug Controller has allowed human trials of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, Zydus Cadila's ZyCoV-D and Oxford University and AstraZeneca's vaccine.
