In his statement, Neeraj Singh told that around 1:30 pm on June 14, 2 key builders came to Sushant's house. On the delay in opening the lock, Siddharth Pithani asked to break the lock. When the door opened, Dipesh Sawant paid Rs 2000 to both the key makers. Sushant was hanging from the ceiling fan of the room when the door opened. After this, Siddharth Pithani cut Sushant with a knife and brought down Sushant.

Neeraj Singh has said in his a statement that after putting Sushant's body properly on the bed, Neeraj himself took out the kurta from Sushant's neck with which he hanged. After this Neeraj Singh had also tried to pump the breath by pressing Sushant's chest, but when no result came out, Siddharth Pithani called the Mumbai Police.
